DigitalFilipino Talks About Fashion Blogging: Fab Way for Public Relation and Campaign
Tweet
Fashion is one of the reasons I go online (next to earning online). I love browsing through different fashion websites, reading blogs and even buying stuff from Ebay. Because of the accessibility of the information online, I have decided to cancel my subscription to a fashion magazine. First, I can view collections even before they are released in media.Second, I get to read reviews from fashion enthusiasts regarding certain product or collection. Third, I get to compare prices and see if the item is worth buying.

DigitalFilipino Talks About Social Media and Mobile Technology to Raise Funds and Fight Crimes: What to Raise and What to Fight?
Information and updates spread like virus in Social Media, that I sometimes wonder if updates transfer would send faster than the speed of light. Take for example the campaign to update one's profile picture with a cartoon character to raise awareness and fight child abuse. In just one day, all my friends' profile pictures had been updated, and my Facebook Home Page looks like a cartoon website.
This fact makes Social Media the best venue in creating awareness in community issues and raising fund. DigitalFilipino Janette Toral interviewed the I.T. consultant of Philippine National Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org.ph/) and Co-Founder of Chikka (http://www.chikka.com) Dennis Mendiola on how social media and mobile technologies can be used to raise funds.

Media Launch: Mitchie's Chef's Classics Collection from Sunnex
Tweet
Everytime I would visit department stores, I always spend most of my time in the Kitchenware (that is, after checking out the Accessories area ;)).
I love checking out new gadgets, new kitchen tools and new designs for cookware. I have this certain attachment and liking for cookware and kitchen tools - simply because they had been part of my 4 years in College. Plus, I always imagine how they would make cooking more fun and efficient - and how they would fit in our kitchen.
Sunnex, one of my favorite brands has cooked a new collection for moms and chefs and foodies (yes, the prime beneficiaries are foodies!). Media practitioners and writers from well-known magazines, together with selected bloggers had come together last Friday morning (March 25th) for the launching of Chef Mitchie's Chef's Classics Collection.

Ilocos Day 2: Roadtrip to Pagudpud and Places to See in Ilocos Norte
Tweet
First, let me start this post with an apology. I know you have landed to this page to get an idea on how to plan your itinerary. Our trip was not very well planned, so we were only able to see and visit the most famous spots in Ilocos. But before you leave this page, I have a real treat at the bottom of the post, so please stay.
So let me just show you some more reasons why you should visit the places I would recommend below:
Kapurpurawan (White Rock Formation)
Burgos, Ilocos Norte
I was really amazed when I saw the rock formation - I can forever say, that Philippines is such a beautiful country! Who would have thought we would have something like this in the Philippines?
The way to this spot is never-ending and rocky. We took the tricycle ride (costs Php100) from the hi-way, and we traveled a very rough road - with paranoia that NPAs might soon show up and kidnap these poor travelers.
When we got to the place, we have to go down rocky steps and walked through the rocky, wet and slippery walkway of corals and rocks. Such an adventure, but a true beauty!

Northview Hotel, Ilocos Norte: A Budget Hotel for Budget Travelers

If there is one thing I've learned from our trip in Ilocos - it is - plan your trip well. We were so busy with our work and I got surprised one weekend that it was already time to fly on Monday night. I was not able to do the itinerary (like what I always do so I can also plan the clothes that I would bring), and even check and compare hotel reviews. I packed my stuff 6 hours before our flight, and I was just glad that I didn't miss the most important things to bring (e.g. chargers).
The original plan is to stay in every stop point - Vigan - Pagudpud - Laoag. We want to declare to ourserlves that we are real backpackers, but it was too late for me to realize that we would waste our time in meeting the check out time and cutting our trips short. From Vigan (Day 1), we planned to stay in a hotel in Pagudpud (for Day 2). I realized it would mean, we would only have morning of Day 2 to explore the place; then maybe, afternoon of Day 2 after check out (but with all our luggages and bags joining us for the photoshoot!).
My friend had already reserved and deposited payment in Balay Da Blas for our Day 3. We were too late to decide that we need to check in and stay in Laoag for Day 2 and completely dismiss the idea of staying in Pagudpud - instead do a day trip and travel back to Laoag at night.
Balay Da Blas can no longer accommodate our request for another day of stay (for our Day 2), so we got panicky that we wouldn't have a place to stay in Laoag... Alas! There is Northview Hotel!
How to get there?
Coming from Vigan, we waited in the Partas Bus Terminal for the van service. They have this free airport transfer service, so if you are coming from the Laoag Airport, coordinate with the hotel staff your Estimated Time of Arrival.

Tinapayan Festival: Festive Affordable Sweets!
I honestly believe that the best food are found not in fancy restaurants but in narrow streets and unknown stalls in the Metro like Binondo and Maginhawa Street in UP. I guess the same is true when it comes to bread and pastries.
I always pass Dapitan Street whenever I go home from work, and I always see the Tinapayan Festival busy with people almost covering the glass panels of the bakery - leaving with a big brown paper bag - and I thought it is just because these people want to buy bread or the famous Pan De Sal for breakfast - but I found that they offer so much more.
My friend gave me a brown paperbag filled with goodies from Tinapayan Festival.
Caramel Fudge is one of the most popular pastries. It is chewy and sweet (but not too sweet as expected for a caramel). This is only Php14 per piece.
I looove the Cream Puff! It has caramelized sugar on top so it is somewhat brittle when you take a bite - yet the bread is just soft, and then the cream is just perfect as it "explodes" - not sweet, but creamy (writing this entry makes me want to take a bite!).

So the brittle caramel, soft bread and creamy filling would just jive together as you chew. I can eat it with one good big bite, but better do it in two - so you would see the cream dripping from the bread to your fingers - which is a signal to take another bite! One piece is only Php15!

Vigan, Ilocos Sur: Places to See - Suggested Itinerary
Tweet
Summer is the perfect time to hit the beach, but for those who want a different adventure, and just simply not too comfy to wear a bikini or is afraid of tsunamis - it's time to pack your stuff and head to Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Sharing with you some places we have visited in Vigan. We stayed in Ilocos for 3 days and 3 nights. Our itinerary is Vigan - Pagudpud - Laoag. All the people I have talked to regarding our plans played the antagonist part as they insisted that we head to Pagudpud first then Laoag then Vigan. But I have already made up my mind and we had already booked in Grand Pa's Inn (read my review). So we explored the Vigan City and fell inloved with the old stone houses with wooden windows in the Calle Crisologo and admired the museums and old historic houses within the area.
First stop is the Calle Crisologo. I personally wanted to see how the Calle Crisologo looks like in the evening and in the morning. So as soon as we arrived, we checked out the place and used our cameras to keep the memories. The long travel is worth it - I was just waiting for Maria Clara and Crisostomo Ibarra to show up and ask us if we were time travelers.
The Calle Crisologo is just walking distance from the Grand Pa's Inn, as well as other hotels/inns in the area such as the Gordion Inn.
The following morning, we once again walked down the Calle Crisologo, and we were surprised that old houses are actually business establishments - there are souvenir shops, cafe's (I saw a Mocha Blends branch), restaurants, and even a supermarket, a Super Club, and yes, a funeral parlor. Riding a callesa would be fun, I think, as you need to watch your every step because there are "gold" droppings in the streets. To be fair, the people in the area tried to keep the area well-maintained.
Crisologo Museum is our next stop. Prepare coins for donation. This is the residence of Floro Crisologo, a politician in Vigan.
Then, we went straight to the Baluarte (since we were thinking we only have half day to explore the places, and might as well explore the farthest spots first). I would write another blog post regarding our visit in Baluarte. .
Now, back to Vigan,
We checked out the famous Vigan Church. I cannot say much about churches, since they all look the same to me - or maybe they are just really made to look the same (?!). Please don't hate me, I am just stating an opinion. All I can say is that, it was nice to see old churches and buildings - thinking that some hundreds of years ago, these landmarks were already built. We can no longer count how many weddings, baptisms, and deaths happened in the church - only the eyes of walls and ceilings would know. Surprising is that, the walls of the church even served as mounds.
Next - a tricycle ride to Bantay Bellfry Tower. Prepare Php20 for donation. I love this place because the caretaker knows how to take pictures - even know how to use the DSLR and digicam. He even suggested to take pics on the stairs and suggested good views.
The Burgos Museum is our next stop. It closes at lunch time and opens at 1:30PM. The museum showcases the history of Ilocos - with actual "gadgets" our origins have used in weaving and fishing. It even has one of the few replicas of Noli Me Tangere of Dr. Jose Rizal. Don't forget to drop something for the donation.
Next is the Syquia Mansion. The caretaker told us that Cory Quirino does stay in the house whenever she visits the place. I am very impressed with the house and the antique furniture; and how they were able to preserve them. No entrance fee - just donation.
How to get around? You can take the Calesa Tour for Php150 per hour but the places are just walking distance except for the Bell Tower and Baluarte.
The tour ended with a snack in Cafe Uno - located behind the Grand Pa's Inn. We had Iced Mocha Latte, Pasta and Club House Sandwich.
I was impressed with the perfect sauce of Pasta Puttanesca (not the usual sweet sauce) and generous fillings of the Clubhouse Sandwich. Regarding the Iced Mocha Latte - I always wonder why coffee shops always make them fancy with all the marshmallows, chocolate drizzles and a Stick-O?
What's good about the place is that it is a Wifi Zone; however, it is the only free-standing coffee shop I know which doesn't have a smoking area.
They say that half day tour is long enough to explore Vigan, which is true. We spent the rest of the afternoon buying souvenirs. Vigan Shirts at Php150 (for white ones), key chains at Php10 (wood type) and 3 for Php100 for the heavy ones. There are so many nice woven bags! But I just cannot buy them because we still have to travel back to Laoag.
Hope you enjoyed my little tour in Vigan ;)
Let me review my album set and write about Laoag and Pagudpud. :)

AVA.ph - A New Shopping Site for Members Only: Sign Up Now and Win a Prada Purse
Tweet
There are just so many great deals in the internet, that going to malls is no longer necessary. I just discovered a new site called AVA.
Ava is a new site which would soon hold members-only sales - and these sales are only good for a period of time (like a bidding site or a groupon?). I am not certain, all I know is I am excited to shop! Imagine items at 70% off the market price!
Some of the brands I saw in the site are BCBG, Myth, Laundry by Shelly Segal, Aranaz, and Armani Exchange. So it is like a fushion and mix of local and international brands.
The site accepts credit cards like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and even Paypal.
Here's a great deal - don't be left out on the members-only sale. Sign up now and get a chance to win a Prada Saffiano Leather worth $495.

LinkFromBlog: More Ways for Bloggers to Earn Online
Tweet
I was yet again browsing some blogs and reading more about social media when I came across a third party site called LinkFromBlog. Like other pay to post sites, this site gathers advertisers and bloggers and work as a middleman to ensure that advertisers get the most exposure and promotion for their products; and bloggers get the opportunity to review such products and get paid for sponsored reviews.
I just registered to the site and I cannot testify the amount of money that one could earn from LinkFromBlog. Although I have read one Filipina blogger who has even reached $500 pay out.
Through the advancement of technology and social media, it is now possible to earn online. Please see related links in my blog for more income opportunities.

My Smart Move: Everyday is a Blowout!
If there is one thing or situation that I am currently in right now, that I am so proud to share.. (actually, it is not just one thing, or one event, or one memory but a "state") - it is that I can achieve a "Work-Life Balance". I have been with the company for three years, and although the joy of landing this job was only shared by my family and close friends, my blog is a living proof that the fun of having this job didn't just end on my first day I reported to work.
I may be one of the lucky few who were given a job, and a job that I enjoy doing AND let me do some other things that I love - then I share these "some other things that I love doing" through my writing and blogging (which is one thing that I am passionate about!).
So what are these some other things that I love doing that I can do now because I can proudly say my company gives me a Work-Life Balance?
You see, this state now that I am so proud to be in is not something that would expire soon or end (unless I get a pink slip and a big box to pack my stuff tomorrow). This state makes me contribute and share more to my readers (I know I only have a few, but I would like to think I am giving them quality posts).
I know bloggers would agree with me that creating one post is not as easy as opening your blog platform, typing and publishing. In this case, it is not just a must to keep a performing computer or laptop, but a good camera too, and an internet connection that won't let you down.
Why having a good connection is important in posting a quality blog?
Now, if I don't have a good connection, I might lose the Work-Life Balance I am raving about, as I might spend more than a normal working hours of 8 just to create a blog post!
If you are a blogger or a regular netizen who is fond of sharing stuff with friends online, now is the perfect time to subscribe to SMART Bro Home Unlimited Broadband at Php999 or Php1,999 because it comes with the following freebies:
Free All-In-One HP Printer
Free Call & Texts with SMART Gold Lite Plan 300 for 6 months subscription
Free 1 month broadband subscription
Although I am currently subscribed to a DSL service, I am thinking of getting this package (not just because for the love of freebies) but because Smart promises a consistent speed and stable signal - it means that I can surf all I want, research on next vacation destinations, shop online until I am out of Paypal fund, and blog all I want until I have flooded my subscribers' inbox.
I have to make a decision now as the promo would end on June 4, 2011 (yes, before the start of classes?).
The promo is per DTI-NCR Permit No. 1871, Series of 2011.
This is my official entry to the Nuffnang and SmartBro's Broadbandest Blowout Blogger Contest. Not a blogger? You too can have a chance to own a Samsung Galaxy Tab! Just create a 30-second video showing how far will you go to own a Samsung Galaxy Tab. Please like the official Facebook contest page at http://www.facebook.com/samsunggalaxytabcraziestthings to read the full mechanics. Contest is extended until April 10, 2011.

So what are these some other things that I love doing that I can do now because I can proudly say my company gives me a Work-Life Balance?
- I can spend time with family and friends.
- I can file Vacation Leaves and explore more places and countries.
- I still have time to join online contests, or even hold my very own contest.
- Write a product review.
- I can still do shopping - whether online or in physical stores!
- I can still go to any government office to secure a document and share my experience.
- Despite workload, I can still find a little time to reflect on my life and rant or rave..

Why having a good connection is important in posting a quality blog?
- When uploading a picture, it is necessary that you have a good connection, so uploading in an online album (or even sharing in Facebook) would only take 5 minutes.
- Some bloggers like me, want to take ownership of the pictures, and adding a watermark is the best way to do it. Downloading a software or using an online tool would require a fast internet connection.
- Adding related links in a blog post is important to give more information to the readers. We need good internet connection to verify that the links that we are adding are working and valid. We want to see the whole page and not just a header, thus a good connection is a must!
- Publishing a post should only take seconds. I would hate to press Refresh just to see the post live in my site.
Now, if I don't have a good connection, I might lose the Work-Life Balance I am raving about, as I might spend more than a normal working hours of 8 just to create a blog post!

Grand Pa's Inn: A Home Away from Home in Vigan, Ilocos
Tweet
The first time I saw the pictures of Grand Pa's Inn, I know I wanted to have my pictures taken in that hotel - so we traveled 2 more hours after our arrival from the Laoag airport and checked in the hotel/inn. What else can I say, we got amazed by the hotel's design, antique collection and warm staff.
How to get there?
If you are coming from Laoag, you can take the Partas Bus (which operates 24 hours) going to Vigan. From the Vigan Partas Bus station, take tricycle and the drivers know where Grand Pa's Inn is. It is only a 5 to 10 minute tricycle ride.
If you are coming from Manila, sorry, I don't think I can help you. But you may find this link helpful. You may take my advice above if you are already in Laoag. We boarded a plane to get to Laoag. Below is the map where you can find Grand Pa's Inn's location:
Here's one from the Grand Pa's Inn webpage:
You can see that it is very near Calle Crisologo - very historic and beautiful street in Vigan with old stone houses.
The place is walking distance from Calle Crisologo and Syquia Mansion. Five minute walk to Plaza Burgos and Vigan Cathedral. There are tricycles and kalesas which can take you to a tour.
The Hotel
The receiving area would greet you when you enter the hotel, with wodden chairs and tables. Posted in the wall is the history of Grand Pa's Inn and pictures of famous celebrities who had stayed in the hotel (like Gabby Concepcion, Korina Sanchez, Heart and Jericho - when they were still together). So I was hoping, my picture would soon be posted there. Hehe.
The place is like a showcase of antique collection - from old phones, alarm clock, radio, to baro't sayas framed and hung on walls. There is even a grand organ on the side, and old musical instruments.
Accommodation and Room
The room that we got is at the second floor - very spacious with 1 single bed and 1 double bed. It has TV and working hot and cold shower (and shampoo sachets and soaps, plus a roll of tissue). What caught my attention is the bible on the dresser table.
You get to choose your breakfast set - so we tried something Ilocano - TapSiLog with that strong vinegar. The Dining Area is also very nice - like you were dining at your Lola's house. It can get a WiFi signal from the cafe beside it, which is the Cafe Uno.

The staff is so friendly that when they had observed that we were so fascinated with the place, they offered to show the Kalesa Room:
A kalesa or calesa (sometimes called a karitela) is a horse drawn calash (carriage) used in the Philippines. The word, also spelled calesa, predates the Spanish conquest and descends ultimately from an Old Church Slavonic word meaning "wheels." This was one of the modes of transportation introduced in the Philippines in the 18th century by the Spaniards that only nobles and high ranked officials could afford (from Wikipedia).
The hotel also has a tour package for Php1,100, but we decided not to get it so we can explore more places and take more pictures without worrying about time and fees.
Okay, I don't want to bore my readers, so I know you want to know..
Why this place stands out?
* We arrived at 1:00 in the morning and the staff was still very grateful when we arrived. We know they were all sleepy and would wanted to enjoy a nap (yeah, while on duty), but still, they waited for us, as if we were relatives from Manila.
* After we checked in, we roamed around the hotel and they were very gracious and even turned on the lights when we took pictures of the antique collections displayed in the reception. They never showed that they were tired, and sleepy, and they never make us feel that our arrival is a total disturbance. They are very pleasant in answering our questions, and accommodating our requests (yeah, we get a little too demanding at times).
*When we checked out at 2:00 PM the following day, we just asked if we can just pay extra for the extended hours (as check out time is at 12 noon), but they said that they would just charge us for one night, and we can extend until 4:00 PM. That was suuuper! That gave us time to visit other places within the area like the Syquia Mansion.
*When we came back to the hotel to get our stuff (we just left them at the reception after we checked out so we can still visit the Syquia Mansion), the receptionist told me "Maam, baka gusto mo muna maupo, at magpahinga?" (Maam, maybe you want to take a seat first and take a rest?" I find it really sweet and sincere; but I just stayed in the reception and decided to get to know them more. I just asked for a glass of water, and they were prompt in accommodating our requests.
*The staff was so pleasant when we had our pictures taken in the hotel. It seems that they are happy with what they are doing, and that they are proud to be part of the Grand Pa's Inn.
Our thanks to Cristina, Mark, Leoncio, Joren and especially to Maricon, Diane, Jhong, Nilo, Edward and Nestor for making our Vigan trip fun more and "historic".

There is even a grand organ on the side, and old musical instruments.

e-Cigarettes: To Quit or Not To Quit (or to Try e-Cigarettes) - Review and Interview
Tweet
Every year, you always list down quitting and totally breaking the bad habit - smoking. But you always fail. You always get back to asking for a stick from a friend, lighting the ciggy, telling your friends (in defense), that you are just stressed out and you need a "breather".
Now, there is no need to punish yourself or go cold turkey. If you have watched The Tourist, you might have probably seen it - the handsome Johnny Depp is smoking, should I say, using an e-Cigarette or Vapes. A group from my workplace has started using this wonder stick and I was so grateful that they accommodated my request for an interview.
To give you a background, Tin is the type who loves to party and get-together with friends; but mind you, she is doing really well on her job (if yosi break is the secret, she has to share the best practice). Kevin, on the other hand, is the typical guy - he joins fun runs, and fun gigs.
1. How young are you now, and how young were you when you started smoking?
TIN: 25, started when I was 17.
KEVIN: 22, started smoking since i was 18
2. Would you say you are physically active and healthy? Are you into sports?
TIN: Physically healthy, yes, per my recent APE result.
Active, not really, as I'm not into sports.
KEVIN: Yes.
3. What benefits (if there is any) do you get when smoking?
TIN: Anti-stress, speeds up metabolism, social activity.
KEVIN: Stress reliever, Pantanggal umay.
4. What is your cigarette brand? When do you usually smoke?
TIN: Used to smoke Winston Lights. Whenever I want to. After eating, normally.
KEVIN: Marlboro Lights, after eating, break time
5. What made you try the new electronic cigarette?
TIN: I personally want to reduce nicotine consumption and quit, eventually.
KEVIN: Since I'm into running, I wanted to maximize my cardio.
6. How much does it cost? Do you think it is cheaper than the regular cigarette?
TIN: Bought it for P1,250. Yes, cheaper since a bottle of e-Cig juice which costs P250/each lasts for a month compared to 1 pack of yosi at P35 a day.
KEVIN: Standard e-Cig costs around 1k - 2k. in the long run, yes..
7. What is the difference of using electronic cigaretter and smoking a real stick?
TIN: Initially, it will not feel the same and you will still crave for the real cig. But it will eventually satisfy you. Not only does it mimic the smoke, it also gives you the same sensation.
KEVIN: e-Cigs dont have tar, tobacco, carcinogens and other cancerous chemicals.
Any similarities?
TIN: Feels the same after a couple of days, without the bad yosi smell
KEVIN: Still feels like smoking because of the vapor and flavor.
8. Do you ever think it is just a status symbol?
TIN: No, since I personally use it to quit smoking.
KEVIN: Nope
9. Do you have plans of quitting (even before the Electronic Cigarette was introduced?)
TIN: Yup yup.
KEVIN: Yup
10. Is it cheaper than buying a pack of yosi?
TIN: Yup, see answer on no. 5.
KEVIN: If you consume 1 pack of cigarette a day, that's around 40php x 30 days = 1200. compared to e-Cigs, you just have to invest on your e-cigarette (1k - 2k), then you just have to buy a 10ml liquid worth 250 and that's good for 2-3 weeks (depends on your usage).
11. Do you think there is a chance you would go back to smoking real stick, or would stick to e-Ciggy or totally quit?
TIN: It kinda sucks when you run out of battery. I've resorted to smoking real cigs twice or thrice because I forgot to charge.
KEVIN: Stick to e-Cig :)
12. What is your advice to those who want to quit?
TIN: Try e-Cig. It will help you quit without torturing you. Some people just find it hard to quit because they have been used to the act of smoking but not because they are addicted to nicotine. Like in my case, I used high-nicotine juice for the first 2 weeks then switched to medium-nicotine. I plan to switch to low-nicotine after another 2 weeks and then hopefully to 0 nicotine. I don’t think I’m addicted to nicotine. I’m just not over the act of sucking yet.
KEVIN: e-Cigs are better than cigarettes and it's just like smoking (without the harmful effects)
Now.. I guess I am convinced. Everytime I see this bunch holding those e-Cigarettes (some look like pens and one looks like a celphone - no joke!), it seems that they are so relaxed - plus the whiff of the flavor of the vapor is soo enticing. Yes, you can choose your flavor if you want belgian waffle, strawberry, mint, and even cola.
Now, at least, there is no need to worry if you forgot a lighter. No more dyahe moments asking for a light..
Pictures from Patrick. Thank you.

Big K Imaging's Photobook:: How to Use and Create Your Own Photobook
Tweet
I always feel envious whenever I check US online photo stores which offer free customized photobook services and I always wish that Philippines would soon have the same store. I know some photo stores, who do that but the convenience and fun of doing it on your own is more personal. Then, Big K Imaging answered by prayers.
I was browsing through the site, and found that there is an application you can download and use to set up your very own photobook (as in, choose your pictures from the file, arrange them where you want them printed in the pages, and even add caption), then complete it and order online.
So now, there is no need for me to wait to walk down the aisle before I can own a photobook. I am thinking of doing one for all my travel/trips. What I love about the software is that it is so user friendly!
How to make your own Photobook?
It's as easy as downloading, creating and ordering!
Download the software in the Big K Imaging website. Make sure that you meet the system requirements and you have extra space.
Now, for the fun part:
1. Open the software and click Create New Project
2. Choose if you want to create a Photobook or Wall Art
3. Name your project and click Create. I just want to test the software, so I want to mock-create a book for the nice places I have been to.
4. The nice thing about the software is that it even has a Help Desk which would guide you through the process. But being the "adventurous" person that I am, I closed it and just explored the software!
5. Now, to add pictures in the project, click the plus sign and a new window would open to browse through your folders. Just click the folder and the images to add it on the tray. Once the pictures are added, you can easily drag and drop the pictures in the pages and arrange it the way you wanted it.
6. So we are ready to be creative.
You may choose the type of cover you want from the available option on the tray below, or just do what you wanted.
7. For my project, I even added a text in front and customized the font setting (the types of fonts available would be dependent on your PC's current font settings/types).
8. Now, choose the pages you want to work on top of the tray, and choose the type of format you want from the tray below.
If you don't want the picture in the box, just delete it - it would also work. It is so easy to use with the options to add text or picture box - then edit it with the available options on the right side tray.
You see, I even added a text on my page. You may choose to place the text on any part of the page or picture.
9. Now I am ready for the next page.
10. Once done, just click the shopping cart to process the order.
11. I was surprised when the next page appears. It shows the summary and comments on each page and picture. The software is so intelligent that it sets your expectations - I mean, a warning on the quality of the pictures so you can take action - and it won't just process your photobook and you would be surprised with low quality of printed pictures.
12. I processed it anyway to check the check-out process. But hold it, I have to agree to the terms and conditions first!
13. Now the software window refreshes and a browser opens - it asked me to log in. I have to register for a new account first.
14. After registration, the page showed my order summary.
15. Now the next page asks for Shipping and Billing Details. I think you have to update that to reflect your addresses. Shipping is available for Php150, or I am guessing you may pick up the item from the available branches.
16. Click Continue to choose the payment options, and I am just glad that this is not only available for those with credit cards (since that's the main concern of those who want to order online - they don't have one) - there's GCASH payment and bank deposit (I am guessing - option two). I hope that they would offer Paypal payment soon.
So that's easy right? Now I have to dig through my albums and consolidate the pictures so I can make a real photobook and order it online. I would sure create a new blog post to make a review of the quality of the photobook. But knowing Big K (that's where I have my digital pictures printed, I am confident with the quality of the pictures).
Now, who wants to own a new digicam? Big K is "developing and printing" a new contest. Simply like the Big K Facebook Page at http://www.facebook.com/BigKImaging?sk=wall.
Download the software and create a 2x2 Wall Art Sintra Project (it is so easy, just check the steps above!)
For the complete mechanics, please read here.
Now, who says everything is digital? I still personally prefer printed photos - and now, I am creating books!
