Forever 21 is Opening in Manila on July 2nd! But I Can't Wait No More, I Ordered Online!!!!

Tweet Ok. I did it again. I just processed my order from Forever21. After a week of online window shopping and playing with my cart, I had made up my mind and submitted my order.

I just found yesterday that Forever21 is opening a store in Megamall on July 2nd. Yes, the real Forever21! We are aware that there used to be Forever21 stores which carry some Forever21 items (which I think were just bought from US and Korea) and other "generic" clothes I also see in the flea market (marked with Forever21 tags). Obviously not the authorized Forever21 shop.

Yesterday, I had convinced myself that I would not push through with my online order and just wait for the store opening. BUT, when I checked my shopping cart, I found out that some of the items had been removed and had been sold! With no guarantee that the items I wanted online would be available here in Manila, I made a final decision. Besides, I have to take advantage of the items on Sale.

Better Use for Menstrual Blood Based on Studies

The study claims that menstrual blood may soon be the best source of adult stem cells. I have to agree on such claim, although I am not a scientist and an expert. The study aims to prove that menstrual blood may be a good source of stem cells as a cure for people who suffered from stroke, and other nervous system disorders.

Although the study is still under a discussion with scientists and experts, it is good to know that knowledge and technology advancement are playing a big part in finding ways to cure serious health diseases such as diabetes; breast cancer and even as light as wound-healing.

The World is My Catwalk

Tweet I was trying some of the items I have bought (but never worn), and my mom found me infront of a mirror - just adoring the dresses, and yes, myself.

She then told me I should pursue modelling. Honestly, it is a little too late. I told her I am too old for that but she said I might still get lucky and find myself on a ramp.

I wanted to tell her I would have wanted, but ten years ago, she put me in a house-arrest after she found out I was going out (and getting physical) with a guy. She even slammed the phone down to another co-model who was waiting for me at the backstage.

I hate to think my mom wanted to live a glam life, but maybe, she is just so proud of me.

I don't need such profession to do the ramp. The world is my catwalk.

Tired of Dressing Up

I walk in high-heels and dress up. It is ironic that even the most stylish clothes and fab accessories do not give me the glow that I needed.

Tweet Is there really hope for the country?

I tune in to the news every night but I am not very keen about what's happening in the country today. I did my part last May 10.. and here is a new man who would take over the country. I cannot say that through his term I would feel safer walking in the dark streets at night.. I cannot say I will get a higher pay every month.. I cannot say there wouldn't be any beggars in the streets asking for food, or money to buy drugs. I am not being pessimist, but that's the reality of life. People are screaming for "change".. Ironic that change is the only constant thing in the world, but it seems that this situation that our country is currently in will stay until the next few years, until scientists declare the end of the world.

History will tell how good a president is, but this time let's make a history in the cyberspace and share our suggestions and wishes to the new administration. What's on my mind..? I hope that the new government will be more fearless. Fearless in taking risks, in admitting mistakes, in putting people who should be put in jail, in helping those who really need, and in taking critisisms. Fear no one but only God.

Loving Vimeo

Tweet My PC is complaining with tons of files saved in my hard-drive. I got pictures from vacations, pictures of my items I have purchased  and have yet to share, pictures from vacations, and more pictures from vacations. Forgot to mention I have also stored videos which mainly eat my struggling 4gb free storage space.

Being sentimental that I am, I just can't let go most of the pictures and move them straight to trash bin. Actually I even have some files in the bin which I can't just empty (talks about being sentimental).

Thanks to Picassa for keeping most of my pictures. Of course I have Facebook in which I only share selected pictures. For video storage, I am loving Vimeo. The site gives me 500 MB free space every week and 1 HD video to upload. So if I meet the limit of 500 MB in a week, I have yet to wait for the following week to reset my allowable space. Not bad. Considering the service is free.

What I love most about it is that it can store your videos privately. I have nominated passwords for all the videos I have uploaded and I have confirmed that the passwords are only sent to the people I shared the videos with.

I can even link Flikr pictures to set as a video thumbnail. Users can create albums to organize their videos (say, Family, Friends, Travel, etc).

Uploading  is easy with just few clicks. The site uploads any type or format of videos. Note that free membership has 30-minute wait time for viewing newly uploaded videos. What I do is just upload and save and upload videos, and just watch them at a later time. Have I mentioned that buffering has never been an issue in this site?

I'll give the site a two thumbs up, and even a few dollars to upgrade my membership!
