Hoping for more perks come 2010..

The New LG Chocolate Touch Phone: A Sweet Offer

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of LG Chocolate Touch. All opinions are 100% mine.

Who can predict what technology will offer? I remember the day when I got my second phone. That sleek unit without the antenna. I was one of the first people in town who had bought that type of unit. I could practically spell out C-O-O-L with my lips when I had that phone. Then the next biggest thing then was the tone composer. Then there came the infrared. Until companies with the help of technology and developers came up with features that enable us to live a simpler life.

I never thought I could practically live without a land line, a digital camera, a dvd player, an mp3 player and a computer. I can practically call my friends anywhere in the globe. I can watch movies and videos and laugh at the crazy stuff people upload in Youtube even outside the comforts of my home. I can listen to the top ten music hits with my sleek headphones. I can update my status in Facebook and Twitter with just a few clicks on my phone; and even upload my latest picture on the net taken by the same phone. Some ten years ago, I never imagine that life could be this simple that I do not need to load my bag with camera, mp3 player and laptop; and even worry about their separate battery chargers.

I thought that it is the techno life that the past has promised the future, until LG releases a new unit. The LG Chocolate Touch which does just that and more. The LG Chocolate Touch not only allows users to call, send sms, watch videos, take pictures or use internet; it also has a music player with Dolby Mobile technology for cyrstal-clear sound. Think Entertainment. Think Satisfaction.

The new LG Chocolate Touch is crafted with the following features:

1. Dolby Mobile technology for crystal-clear sound.

2. Sweet Visual Effects and features, including Rhythmical Beat that vibrates the handset to the beat of the music. Rock and Roll, Metal or Hihphop anyone?

3. One-touch Social Network Message Key for easy use of Mobile Blogging (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.) which is beneficial for bloggers like me.

4. Mobile Media with top-notch text, picture, video, and voice messaging, including Visual Voicemail. This is my favorite! I know it would be a great hit for passionate and naughty messages. ;)

5. 3.2MP Camera/Recorder for quality pictures and videos, with image editor. Clever addition which is perfect for those picture perfect moment and print worthy shots.

So, who can live without a phone? a dvd player? an mp3 player, a laptop and other gadgets? I think I can. A little sleek phone like LG Chocolate Touch is all I need to keep me breathing; and I honestly think I need a phone upgrade.

Disney on Ice 2009: A Two Thumbs Up for Mickey and Friends and the Incredibles!

Watched Disney on Ice last night at the Araneta Coliseum and I felt like a child again. I was able to watch Holiday on Ice when I was still a kid but the experience yesterday is just so different. Maybe because I have my nephew and niece with me that seeing how happy and excited they were adds to my own excitement. The announcement that the show will begin in 5 minutes brought chills and excitement to the audience, no kidding!!

The show has a story line and it is not just the usual figure skating event. The show will run until January 3, 2010 and I do not want to be a spoiler for those who will be watching.

I have read somewhere that food and drinks will not be allowed inside so I asked a little favor from Coffee Bean Gateway if it is possible if we could just leave our food to the store. The manager, Gef is being so sweet and he agreed. Thanks to him. We left our baggages (toys, clothes and gifts that we bought) to the baggage counter at the Araneta Coliseum.

When we got inside, we realized that the security did not even bother to check on our bags; and my mom wanted to kick herself for not keeping the food. It's not that we are hungry, we had a very heavy meal in the afternoon that I didn't worry about my stomach; it is just that food inside are sold twice their original price (pop corn at Php70, fries at Php70, snow cones at Php450 with Stitch mug, cotton candy at Php350 with Incredibles mask). I was thinking if we should buy the memorabilia, but getting the best seats for the show is enough. We could always buy Disney toys in the mall. By the way, the story line book is being sold at Php270 at the entrance. Please say hello to the old man who is manning the booth, he is nice and he speaks Tagalog.

We brought our camera and we took some pics. Some even brought their tripods. I have read somewhere that professional cameras are not allowed, but a show as nice as Disney on Ice is something that should be captured and shared to the public (think Youtube, think Marketing).

The show is super nice! The lightings, the effects and casts and every moves! You practically would not know where to focus because every character, and supporting role is just so wonderful that few mistakes, and wrong turns would not matter and would not be that obvious. I personally love the Incredibles! They are indeed incredible and each skater fits the character.

Now, let me upload the pictures and videos. I want to relive the moment..

The Game by Neil Strauss

Funny how I find myself googling The Game by Neil Strauss. Yesterday, Christmas morning, I had a little chat with Chris, a colleague of mine and he talked about this "game". Basically, his style and moves in socializing. The conversation all started with the movie "He's Just Not That Into You". I watched the movie and he found the title a little too negative. What can I say, the movie talks about the reality of dating and marriage and life. I then asked him why a man suddenly loses interest in a woman when she started pursuing the guy (provided there has been spark and the man is already attracted to her) - I actually just want to confirm if John Gray is being honest about what he has written in his book "Mars and Venus on a Date"; but lo and behold, I have been put on a spotlight and Chris started sharing with me the rules of socializing and dating.

Oooppps.. at some point, I felt so defensive. Maybe because I am not looking for someone right now. I want to believe I know the rules of dating, but I just realized I haven't been on a "real date" for 9 years now. For the record, I do go out but when I meet people, or when I meet a man, it is more of a friendly date and I never see any man as a new prospect so those do not count as a "real date".  Impressing a man has never been in my dictionary for 9 solid years. But what he has shared with me is really significant and maybe I could use.. probably, in the near future.

Now I should head to the bookstore and play The Game..

"Hes Just Not That Into You"

"Hes Just Not That Into You" - I hope we can say that to our superfriends and BFF whenever they had been dumped and rejected. And I wish I could say that to myself.. but I just can't, because I have a Martian side.

The movie is based on the book of the same title by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tucillo.

Just watched the movie, and I soo.. soo love it! It's not one of the best feel-good movies, but it is a must-watch. Alot of big stars in small roles, and their lives are all entertwined.

Bottom line, I got more scared of marriage.

Happy Holidays!

We do not really celebrate Christmas, but it is always nice to see that people are so grateful and happy during these times.

Just sharing the new Camella Homes TV ad featuring Chacha Canete. Isn't she a cutie?

Php100 Worth Gift Suggestion: Kikay Pouches

The RESO guy just dropped off my package to my workstation. I sooo, sooo love the new pouches! I love the prints (that's the very reason I bought them). I buy anything with Labanda, Hed Kandi and Pinglet's graphics on it!

And surprisingly, they are bigger than I expected! I thought these could only keep my mobile phone and some coins; but I think one can replace my kikay kit.

I have lost count of the number of pouches/kikay kits I own (clutch bags is of different category).

The pouches are only Php109 each (around $2). Please check out http://theclosetqueen.multiply.com to order. I saw two more pouches with chic prints and designs. This would make a great gift for all your fashionista friends.

Shopped Dresses Shipped!

I received this package some three weeks ago, but I am still ecstatic about it! I ordered the stuff last October, and I was lucky to chance upon the online sale from Forever21. Dresses are selling at $9, and $10 each. The most expensive item I got is the $11.50 dress which is still a bargain.

I bought a total of 8 dresses, 3 plain shirts and 1 tube top. I got maxi dress, maxi tierred tube dress, tube dress in plaid, brown jersey dress with bib beaded halter necklace, and some halter mini dresses.

Ordering stuff online from US stores is not really my daily hobby. Although the links are screaming sales and clearance discounts, I am still a little hesistant to add items on my cart and use my card. Think of customs taxes and shipping costs.

Tip, if you have balikbayan friends or relatives in the US, have the items shipped to their address. Have them bring the stuff when they visit Manila or if they have balikbayan boxes shipment here. That's exactly what I am doing. It saves me the trouble of tracking the item, saves me from tax thefts in customs and saves me alot of money. You may have to wait though for a few months for the items to arrive. But who cares?! The stuff will sure come to your doorstep anyway.

If you are wondering how much I paid for this, a little over Php4,000 ($95) to cover for the state tax. I took advantage of the Free Shipping in the US; and some packs of Eng Bee Tin hopia for a friend who brought the items here in Manila.

My New Watch Case

Below are the pictures of the watch case that my friend promised me this Christmas. Note that I didn't ask for it, but she offered to buy one for me. That makes the gift extra special.

The case is from Regalong Pambahay and has four slots to keep your watches. Each slot comes with a silk covered bed where you can rest you watch.

The cover is made of glass which makes it more elegant.
My friend told me that the 8-slot case has been sold out. Maybe I would need another one to keep my other watches.. so I am keeping my wish list open and updated..

Php300 Worth Gift Suggestion: Shirt Organizer/Shirt Case

I was searching Multiply for nice gifts to be added on my wish list then I found these Shirt Organizers.

I personally like this print. Shopaholic!

Seems like people are trying hard to be more organized, and businessmen are working double time to meet the needs of the market. There came a bag organizer, shoe organizer, bra case, cosmetic traincase and now a shirt case.

The item only costs Php280 (around $6) and may fit the budget for Php300 worth exchange gift. ;)

I'm itching again to hit the Order Form, but my new mantra should say I-will-no-longer-shop!

FREE Gift from GIFT GATE

We all grew up with Hello Kitty, Kerrokerropi, and other Sanrio products; and we all know where to find them - the nearest Gift Gate store!

Years ago, Gift Gate is like a haven or should I say heaven for kids and adults alike. We usually go to this place to buy accessories like bags, wallets, pouches, or anything with cute characters on it. I personally like Zashikibutta; and I remember collecting notepads and stationary.

Gift Gate is giving away gifts to survey respondents. Choose from towels, pouch, ref magnet, etc. Just complete the survey, print the confirmation page and claim your gift from any Gift Gate store.

Please click here to answer the survey.

Wish List

Christmas Party and Kris Kringle time again. I was thinking I got nothing to list on my wish list this year. I was thinking I could practically buy anything that I wanted; and then it hit me! Why not ask for items which are on my least priority list.

Cosmopolitan Subsciption

I was thinking of asking for another Cosmopolitan subscription. The same gift I asked last year, and my "mother" generously provided. I am always a fan of Cosmo magazine since I was 16 years old (that was like 11 years ago?!) and subscribing to a magazine is like receiving a gift every month. This year, I always got excited whenever I will hear the doorbell and the mailman will hand me my magazine copy. The best part is that it comes with freebies (coffee samples, napkin samples, etc..) and I got to read the magazine before the issue is even released to the magazine stores.

Watch Case

What I really wanted at this point is a new watch. Charms watch to be specific, but only a lover will be willingly give an expensive item such as that. Remember, budget for exchange gifts is only Php500 ($10). You can go higher, but never lower. Then, I remember the watch case I saw in SM Department store months ago. I was itching to buy it then, but will power stood out. I-will-no-longer-shop! So I thought I would ask for that. My lovely friend found out that I wanted one and she said she'll buy one for me. Actually, the item is already out of stock in SM when I checked this morning.. and my friend did text me saying the same item is also out of stock in another SM store; but she did buy one for me from a different store. How sweet can she be? I can probably erase this from my list!

This is not the exact case I wanted. I actually wanted a long case with glass cover. I always misplace my watches, that I thought getting a watch case is practical.

Bra Holder

Months ago, I saw this beautiful case in SM, and landed to a multiply site which also sells the same case. My first thought: This is love! This is fab! I got to have it! But my new mantra is I-will-no-longer-shop! So I dismissed the idea of swiping my credit card, or ordering online. But that doesn't mean I can't have one right? I can wish and ask for it.

Necklace Holder

Two years ago, I came across a multiply site which sells doll/mannequin necklace holders. I fell inloved with it, but the price stopped me from ordering. It costed around Php1500 then ($25) for pre-ordering. Then these beautiful mannequin necklaces came back into my life with different attitudes and style. Ballerina. Rockstar. Geisha. Everything fashionista. I got tons of holders and boxes to store my accessories; but owning one would be perfect in my newly designed room. ;)

Red Lava Lamp

Read. It has to be RED, as in Bloody Red. There is something so sensual and sexy about red. Red is my favorite color. I love red dresses. I love red shoes. I love anything red (except of blood!); and resting and nesting in a dim-lit room with a red spotlight is just -oh-so-romantic! A simple room can transform into a comforting nest. Not that I have someone to share the room with. Not now, but maybe next year? ;)

Now, im off to wrap my presents. ;)

Shopaholic No More?

I am giving my credit card a rest. For the last three months, I am paying at least Php20,000 per month. At least it is better than to be in a situation such as Rebecca Bloomwood.

I love the Confessions of a Shopaholic book, and I just watched movie. They twist the story but I still love the theme. And Luke Brandon is not a disappointment.

Love unpredictable love stories.. but I love shopping more. ;)

Empty

This song has been playing on my head for weeks now. I just love the song, and the Cranberries. I was surprised to hear a friend hum and sing it.. Just sharing..

Empty
The Cranberries

Something has left my life
And I don't know where it went to
Somebody caused me strife
And it's not what I was seeking.

Didn't you see me, didnt you hear me
Didn't you see me standing there

Why did you turn out the lights
Did you know that I was sleeping

Say a prayer for me
Help to feel the strength I did
My identity has been taken
Is my heart breaking on me

All my plans fell though my hands
They fell
Though my hands on me
In my obvious it suddenly seems
Empty

Challenges

Im swimming to the sea of loneliness again. I am thinking like a man again. Challenge. Being challenged. I know I want something. I know what I want. But I just can't have it. And it's frustrating and it's making me sick!
