Marks and Spencer's Multi Way Bra

More than investing on the classics: little black dress, perfect fitting jeans, sexy stilletos and elegant clutch, every girl must have a nice fitting underwear. I have had enough dresses, jeans, shoes and clutches, so I am now scouting for the best brands and style of underwear.

My credit card bill is a living proof of how much I have spent for Victoria Secret undies. And although I adore its models and publicity, I have give a thumbs down on its bra. When we say underwear, it is not meant to be seen right? And I believe that the perfect underwear should give you the lift and confidence you needed to wear whatever ensemble. Oftentimes, and based on my experience, an unfit bra could ruin the whole outfit.

I bought this multiway bra from Marks and Spencer, and I just love, love it! It is perfect for backless and low cut necklines. It comes with elastic plastic straps that you connect at the back strap if you want to use it for backless tops/dresses. And the wonder does work by giving your bust the oommpp.. lift that we all ladies wanted.

Im now in search for the Y-neckline bra for halters.. any suggestions?!

My New Ticket and Passport Holder from ConnectTheDots!

Does anyone remember how I blogged about the fashionable passport and ticket holder I bought from a multiply store?

I stated on that entry that the seller did promise to send me a sample of the new leatherette collection, and she did!

Does anyone remember how I blogged about the fashionable passport

Yesterday, I received a package from Air21, I know I never ordered anything, and I have this idea that this is what I have been waiting for! She sent me a message few days before, and she even let me picked the design I want.

I chose the purple black color which I think is simple yet elegant. I had a hard time choosing because of the funky colors available on the site and I had to ask for a second opinion before taking a pick.

The new collection is indeed way better than what I bought! The passport holder does fit, and the ticket holder has slots for credit card and boarding passes.

Check out ConnectTheDots and get yours now before booking a flight!

Lipstick and Palettes: Tips and Tricks on How to Apply Lipstick

If there is anything that I can't live and leave home without, it's gotta be a lipstick/lipgloss.

Probably because I love my lips more than any other features of my face. I used to hate it back in High School when the definition of beautiful kissable lips is defined by thin small lips. But thanks to Angelina Jolie for breaking such definition, and here I am loving my very own.

Well defined, moisturized and colored lips is soo sexy. And every girl should have a lipstick/lipgloss in their purses.

As for me, I just don't dig one color. I love and droll over palettes! The idea of a tube lipstick and using the same color over and over again scares me. I want the idea of having to choose a color whatever I want on a particular event, time or place.

Some tips on wearing a long lasting kissable lip color:

1. Moisturize your lips with alcohol free balm. I use the manzana lip balm I got from Watsons few years ago.
2. Use a lip liner to define lip shape. I love Burt's Bees'!
3. Apply lipstick with brush applicator to control color smudging.
4. Apply powder to your lips to seal in the color.
5. Re-apply lipstick. Don't forget to use brush applicator.
6. Top with sun screen gloss, or leave it as is if you want a matte effect.
7. And lastly, suck your pinkie like you are sucking a popsicle. Why? This trick would ensure that your lipstick won't smudge your teeth. ;)

Don't forget to pout your kissables!

My Imeldific Side Revealed: Shoe Shopping and Collecting

They say that we collect whatever it is that we have been deprived when we were kids.. I never want to believe in that until I realized that there is an Imeldific tendency rushing into my every veins.

I just can't get enough shoes! I feel like I were Cinderella everytime I slip a new pair. And you can't blame me. Growing up, buying shoes is always a struggler. I have such a big size, and everytime we buy shoes, we ended up buying from Kickers or any US brand stores. It would cost my parents thousands of pesos just to buy me a pair. And the worst thing about it, I didn't get to choose whatever style I wanted. Our main mantra is, if it fits, buy it. When we were in a mall, whenenever we see a shoe which fits, we bought it; because it is so rare to find a shoe that fits. I envied those girls who could just grab any shoe on display to fit it and feel it.

So now I am just thankful that alot of stores now are offering big sizes. Thanks to the gay community - my biggest rival! Haha.

Just sharing some of the fab shoes I bought last weekend.

Yellow Shoes which would go best with a plain shift dress

The perfect slip on shoes for me! Goes with anything, dress or pants.

Red shoes for anything elegant and stylish

Funky black wedge shoes

Let's go bohemian!

MegaTrade Hall's Shoes and Bags Sale

When I heared that MegaTrade Hall is holding a mega-sale for bags and shoes, I just have to drag my mom to MegaMall and forget about a peaceful weekend.

We first checked out the stuff in Confetti, and I left the store with 5 new pairs of shoes! I just love, love Confetti, and I every year, I look forward to its anniversary sale.

Then we headed to the MegaTrade A to check out the sale. The venue looks like a warehouse. Boxes of shoes, luggages, slippers, and bags are all over the place, which it made it more fun to do the digging and scoring for great buys. I would have loved to buy a pair of Dupe (at P299 a pair!), but for some reason, they don't have my size. Grendha's shoes are at 50% off, but I just don't like the quality of the shoes/slippers. The plastic material is so heavy, that I first worry about my feet and possible callouses.

Crocs has its own designated place which offers 50% for all items.

I thought of buying a luggage, but my mom gave me a frown face. I just thought I would need a new luggage just incase there is a trip emergency. Samsonite bags are at 50%, other luggages starts from P1,500. Other participating brands include Secosanna, Julia and other local brands.

I wasn't able to buy any stuff but the experience is good. Just hope there would be another round of this, with more participating brands.

Being Techie is No Fun When You Have Slow Machines

Ive been wanting to upload my pictures from my Nokia phone and scan random pictures but I kept on putting it off because of the hassle. I had to use my laptop to upload the pictures because my desktop (which is running Windows Vista) does not recognize PC suite cable, and same goes for the scanner. What makes it such a hassle is that I have to disconnect some cables to use my LCD monitor with my laptop (since my laptop LCD has gone berserk! and is the very reason we purchased a new desktop pc). I meant to multitask while I am doing the task with my laptop, but for some reason my ethernet is not working and I can't connect to internet!!! So now, I am halfway through the process.. I saved my pictures and scanned images to USB and I have yet to upload them to Picassa and Facebook.

This is inline with my goal to be more organized. I thought everything is so easy with just a few clicks! But hell, no! especially if you have slow machine! It took me four hours to upload and scan the images. I wonder how people maintain their blogs and how photographer keep their images. Lots of memory I know. And maybe patience too.

I would need to update my pc and buy more memory, but for now, I have to delete unnecessary files and applications to make this work.

Frugalista's Tips on Saving

In line with my previous post about my guiltless shopping escapades, I have to share some of my recessionista and frugalista tips that help me in maintaining my monthly expenses. Actually, based on my view, people should still spend despite recession. Why? Because we need to circulate our money, to run business, to give employment to other people. I guess that's the reason why Philippines is not that affected by the global recession.. Filipinos love to eat, to shop and just to buy and experience anything new to them. And it is doing a great return to us. Businessmen are investing, I see alot of constructions for malls, shopping venues and offices along EDSA and other business districts. And these means employment. And these means money - to spend, to shop, and to maintain the lifestyle that we aim to enjoy. But before I go big in discussing Economics, let me just share some of my saving tips:

1. Don't hail that yellow taxi cab! I am guilty of this. It's nice to have a driver and sleep on your way to your destination less the pollution. But with every cents and pesos running down the meter, it is like an open faucet for your pocket. And this is true. I started taking the public transportation again, and I was able to save more than half of whatever I am spending each day when I take a cab. Lucky that I don't have car to drive. I don't need to worry about parking fees and fluctuating gas prices. I remember what my friend told me that if I'll save my cab money for a year, it would sum up for something big that could take me to an Asian cruise. I did the math and he's correct.

2. Keep and save those Php5 and Php10 coins. Save them all in a coin bank. Don't use them if you need coins. By the end of the year, you would be surprised that a piggy bank full of these coins amounts to Php5,000.

3. Bring packed lunch to office. And I thank my mom for preparing my meals. You will be assured that you have a healthy meal, plus your lunch break would not be used up by falling inline to the nearest fastfood. I am actually surprised at how expensive fastfood meals are! My family and friends seldom eat at fastfood joints, and we rather dine out to a seat-down diners. Burger, fries and soda equals P100, and that's a little too much to spend for additional cholesterol.

4. Dtich the Starbucks craze! This works for me since I only take 1 cup of coffee a day. If bed is calling you while in the office, opt for instant coffee instead or take advantage of the complementary coffee from your office's pantry. Besides, the best way to address this is to get enough sleep at night, (at day - for those who are working on night shift like me). It is okay to indulge once in a while.

5. Take advantage of those freebie sachets of shampoo, lotion, etc. They will come in handy once your supplies of lotion and shampoo are running out, and you don't have time yet to go to the grocery.

6. Save. Save. Save. Once you received your monthly salary, set a fixed amount to be
deposited to your savings account. I enrolled both my payroll and savings account online so that it would be convenient for me to transfer funds, and I wouldn't have an excuse. I know it is quite a hassle to go to the bank, withdraw fund and deposit to another account, so it would be convenient to register your accounts online. This way you can also view how your banking history and accounts activities.

7. Use your credit cards and pay in full! Back in college, my sister gave me a supplementary card for her credit card, and I just max it with shopping and dining expenses, until my mom took the card and convinced me that I am an irresponsible card holder. For years, I opted to use my debit card and swear not to get credit card. Until my bank gave me a complementary credit card with waived membership fee. It took me months before I activated the card, and my first purchase is a 27thousand-worth of Victoria Secret undies! Haha. I never care about bills, since I pay them in full. I guess, that's the rule for credit cards. Pay them in full, otherwise, you will end up paying just for the interest every month, and you will never get to zero. The benefit of using credit cards? The rewards and exclusive
discounts. Quick rule before swiping the card, if you can't pay it in cash, you can't afford it!

8. Enjoy a movie at the comfort of your home. I've been doing this for two years now, my special someone is not here to enjoy a good movie with. Watching movies means dinner and coffee too, and that would add up to your expenses. I do indulge and watch movies especially if graphics and effects require a good sound system. But for other movies, I just borrow DVDs from friends and enjoy chips while lying on my bed. Besides, with the advancement of technology, you can watch movies online (and you don't need to worry about piracy too).

These are just some of the tips that I can think of.. I need to load Ebay on my browser window. I still need to help the economy. ;)

Shops, Shopping, Shopped, and will Shop!

Another month has passed. Im off to new pages of my planner, and Im not surprised with the number of purchases I listed on my July pages. I just can't stop shopping and shopping! My mom's doctor houses her clinic in a mall, and when I hear the word mall it just equates to shopping! Everytime we go to her doctor, we always go home with shopping bags. Below are some of the new additions to my closet and shoe rack. I bought them from stores and online shops.

velvety sexy black shoes
funky army shoes
flirty dress in old rose
preppy top
dramatic tunic
graphic bracelet
chunky lucite bangle
bead bracelet
omega necklace with locket pendant (just an accessory, nothing expensive)
new lip gloss palettes
skin care set (a must! a must!)
dress watch

And just yesterday, a new color block top (you got it, we went to her doctor!).

I hope I can take pictures of them and share them here.. need to find time, that's the only thing I am lacking of, and sleep too!

I have to wait for my credit card bill for next month. We were just lucky (or should I say, I am unfortunate) that my mom's schedule for ultrasound is in the afternoon; otherwise, I would have raided SM The Block since it is holding its Great Northern Sale. We went there and just strolled around.. Mango is still on sale, I meant to buy new pairs of jeans, but I never liked the fit of the styles. Saw some nice shoes in So Fab, but I would have to say no at this point because my mom might just have a heart attack with the number of shoes I haven't worn yet. Checked out some clothes in Forever21, but as expected, the store is selling tiangge-bought tops to mix with the authentic Forever21 pieces.

I have to save my energy and money for this month. I am itching to buy a pair of boots and nice funky jackets. Let's check out Ebay..
