RIP: Michael Jackson

This is a pretty shocking news.. I just got this from TMZ

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

We're told one of the staff members at Jackson's home called 911.

La Toya ran in the hospital sobbing after Jackson was pronounced dead.

Michael is survived by three children: Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

Story developing...

Just google it to know more about the story. You might want to check twitter and follow the celebs reactions..

Getting Physical

I never realized that there would come a point in my life that I would have to buy an exercise equipment. In my teenage years, I have witnessed my sisters' pain in keeping their tummies flat. They bought those portable exercise gadgets, and I remember used them at one point out of curiousity.

I bought my own "toy" yesterday - a pilates ball. It's been months since I realized my stomach is getting bigger and bigger. I know my friends would hate me whenever I would whine on how "fat" I am. Maybe because they never know the difference of flat and flab. As much as I want to get "physical", the joy of eating never fails me. Anything fried, anything sweet, anything crunchy and juicy. I love them all! And it is sad thought that being beautiful and sexy has to be that painful.. :(

Traveling with Fashion: New Finds! Cute Ticket and Passport Holders!

My friends can atest that I am a fan and lover of anything "kikay" and girly. I love prints which show the love for bags, shoes, and shopping.. and this set exactly shows my love for such prints! I have bought this passport and ticket holder months ago, but only now I have found time to rant about it.

I have only started my passion to explore the world this year.. (Im actually too jealousy of Anne Curtis who explored Europe for a month!), but having a set such as this is an essential when traveling (or maybe, Im just too kikay to think about that?!). I remember when I had domestic flights, my boarding passes, and tickets are all over my bag together with all the make up palettes, gloss, mirror and what-nots.

I got this product from ConnecttheDots, it is a multiply site/store, and this much explains why I prefer doing the shopping online. You can find lots of unique and practical items you won't see on your local department store. What I love about the site's stuff are the designs and prints. I can always buy leather and plastic passport holders, but I must admit that I do care about fashion. And I picked this design (I was actually on the waiting list, and the seller was too nice to reserve a slot for me and even pinged me once new stocks came in). It's just sad that the passport holder is a little too small to cover the standard Philippine passport. A disappointment. But the seller advised me that they are working on new sizes and she's willing to send me a sample! Yihaaa!!! I hope it is of the same design! ;)

I know the stuff would have been durable if it is covered with plastic (like the Wicked Sistah kits sold in Beauty Bar). It might cost a little, but personally, I am willing to pay more for quality. I could have chosen a design in darker prints, but this design just spells l-o-v-e for me.

Check out the site and find the perfect set for you. Mine would hold my plane ticket to Vietnam come September! ;)

By the way, this is not a paid review or advertisement, but if the seller gives me freebies, that would be great too! ;)

Wanted: Ethical Hackers

Although I am not a fan of social networking sites like Friendster, Facebook and Multiply, I do keep and maintain my account for personal reasons. I thank technology and all the computer programmers who made life so easy these days. I can always watch missed videos and tv shows online, I can easily order stuff with just a few clicks, and I can conveniently check my cash flow with online banking.

But with all these come a great responsibility of protecting your accounts. No wonder we keep our computers updated with antivirus software and is always on the look out to know more about IT Security. I personally, is very careful in disclosing personal information online (even in this blog). My friends might have noticed that I rarely post pictures in social networking site (I keep most of them in my Picasa account), and I seldom share my whereabouts in shout-outs. I am not afraid of stalkers. No, they don't do much harm. What I am more scared of are people who have intention of accessing my account - yes, I mean, hackers.

I know it is so tempting to view ones account and access their information (say, bank account). But there is actually an online site which trains and certifies individual to be ethical hackers. Yes, there is such a thing as Ethical Hacking. As a matter of fact, alot of big companies are hiring "ethical hackers" to penetrate and break their own system to check and test its own security measures. Sounds cool huh? This means one may play the role of villain, and this job pays alot! This type of job does pay higher than that of they offer in the Mafia Wars jobs. No kidding! Companies are willing to pay high despite global recession to ensure and test their security systems.

The site offers classes on the following topics:

-Security Fundamentals
-Ethical Hacking
-Penetration Testing
-Computer Forensics

-Disaster Recovery
-Secure Programming

Tempted to change career? Better enroll now and get that badge of Certified Ethical Hacker.

Bad, Bad Hair

Bad hair months!!!

I have no idea how nice and good my hair was back in High School.. all I know is that my classmates are teasing me that my mane is for a shampoo commercial. But I never cared. I always just wear simple headbands, and I go for the wash-and-wear look.

When I went to college, I sported a short hair. Fashion calls for it. And I regret it.

Now, I have to worry about fizzy hair, and always think of going to the parlor for treatment. The mayonnaise and olive oil treatments don't seem to work.

I have my hair trimmed and I hate it just the same.

This is just one of the days when I never want to be a woman!
