Actually, I have lost in my original items I am bidding on. A set of really nice antique lockets, with just a starting bid of $6.. it went up to $66! And good thing I was able to hold myself and realized there's more nice antique stuff in Ebay, I could let this go. It was a good "fight" in a way.. The bidding ended at 4:40am, while I was at work. When people in the office were busy with their excel games while waiting for calls, I on the other hand was working on a bunch of emails; and constantly checking on the ebay listing.
Anyway, being a shopaholic that I am, I just can't take to lose and bring home nothing. So just as soon as I got home, I logged in, and check for some nice stuff. And found the perfect item - my next prey, haha - a victorian style locket.
I watched on the item while I was eating my breakfast. And the new feature of Ebay of 1 click bid is just perfect! I even increased my maximum bid just to make sure I wouldn't be overbidded by others who tend to bid the maximum amount just when there's few seconds left. The countdown reminds me of new year - and bang! The item is mine!
Good thing I have paypal - and I have already talked to a friend in office who has relatives in US, to include any of my US purchases on the next balikbayan box. Just plain lovely!
Which reminds me, this convinience would just be a bridge for more shopping
