Weekend at Last!

Love the weekend!

Got tons to do.. dunno where to start?! I'll definetly do the laundry.. clean and reorganize my room - for some reason, i always have my room and stuff all organized every Sunday morning.. but I noticed that when it's at the middle of the week, Wednesday or even at Tuesday, I got all my make up, jewelry and accessories, and clothes scattered all over the drawers and closet.. Yes, the 10-minute-ensemble-im-not-in-the-mood-to-dress-up-yet-im-still-hot-look is true. I never plan my outfit/attire/get-up, I just decide what I want to wear right after taking a bath, and while Im on my undies - the result? Closet chaos every weekend.

I need to pay some online purchases as well, so I need to drop by the bank this weekend too.

I have some dvd's here (Fast and the Furious - feel good movies) and Im planning to enjoy them with some real junk food. Hehe. Oh, and Ive just discovered a really good snack - Butter and Cheese Corn Snack from Cheezy. Haha. Got to hoard some!

Im thinking if I'll do beading this weekend too.. that means going to the "war" at the market for materials.

That's all I have in mind right now..

Oh, and yeah, I'll do the pictures I promised a friend too.

And of course, sleep.

Hope this would be a nice weekend.

Not So Simple Baby Furniture!

Have you guys remember your very first crib, and bed, or high chair? Is it in the shade of pink or blue, with Mickey Mouse and his friends, or with those noisy rattles rolling on each side of the bars? Ive found this great site which showcases the most glamorous and funky baby furniture in town. I know it's far for me to walk down the aisle, or take any maternity leaves now, but this site is really worth adding to my browser's favorites.

Simply Baby Furniture offers a variety of cribs, kids beds, trunks, and all possible baby and kid furniture you can think of, in different themes and designs. You can choose from an elegant and sophisticated lace themed cribs if you want to be romantic and elite, or be playful with candy colored ones. Different designs suite different beds, trunks and furniture allowing customers and their kids express their styles and personality.

Kids Bedroom Furniture showcases a smart and practical designs for beds complete with desks, bookshelves, and space saving styles for easy organization of kids' toys, books and stuff.

I particularly fell inlove with this unit. So sleek and elegant! I wonder if they have this one in my size..

Parents would want to develop their little Einstein's in these Kids Desks. Most of the furniture

are made for English houses I think, but this doodle desk is just plain cute for toddlers! The designs are just ideal for motivating kids in enjoying studying and learning.

The Wooden Children's Furniture is a dreamland for the kids (and kids at heart)! It showcases the loviest mirrors, toy boxes, night stands, book shelves, rocking chairs and dressers in different themes as produced by prestigious manufacturers. This is the best section to go to if you are a godmother, or godfather, an aunt, a cousin, or a friend when searching for a functional gift.

I know this dainty vanity dresser would make me feel so pretty and regal!

Now if you already feel like buying all the stuff you see online, and maxing out your credit card (yes, the sites accept Visa, Mastercard, AmExpress and even Paypal!), there's a live chat consultant willing to help customers with their shopping.

And have I mention Simply Baby Furniture offers free shipping for these bunch of furniture? Great deal indeed.

I just realized, it is really much more fun to be kids at this time..

Certified Bead Lady

Ive just finished my first Nouveu Collection, and it's nice to see them all laid out in front of you, like I were looking at a chest of golds and jewels.

I have never realized I could make such pieces, and I want to hit myself for not starting doing beads and accessories few months back when I got all the time in the world.

I just realized that beading is not just about stringing beads and holding pliers. There's skills and dexterity in bending wires and hooks, creativity in making designs and choosing your materials, patience and acceptance when making mistakes, and practically wasting your precious materials. Right now, I only have passion.. and I would like to think I have the creativity and patience which enable me to make my first nouveu piece after 10 years:

Isn't that lovely?

Married Men and Cheating

Alot of women are probably as curious as I am why married men still sleep with another woman, (should I say other women). One thing which makes me more unexcited about marriage (not that I am getting married this June, or anytime soon).. I was hoping I would be enlightened after a talk with two married men, but I just got confused all the more.

One says he would never indulge in such a fantasy. He and his wife are together for so many years, and he just cant afford to lose what they have just because of a good night with another woman. If he ever get busted, he would lose the other girl, and he would lose his wife, and completely lose his happiness. I would like to give him a standing ovation for such an insight. But a part of me asks, hmm... isn't it just a man's-faithful-front style so woman would see him as a challenge? Just a thought, but I would never challenge this man's stand.

Now, here's another married man who says sleeping around is not cheating at all. Because simply it's just sex. There's always a wife to go home to. This is the famous line of all the playboys, hunks, Adams, Adonises, Samsons and rockers alive. So the question now is, what do you consider cheating? When can you say you are cheating? ".. it's when you started to feel something for the other woman.. when you are dependent about your needs.." Wow, I heard this before, and I know every decent woman wont buy it. And I dont buy it.

I hope John Gray could write a book and explain, and enlighthen us about this. Are men really from Mars? It seems to me they want to invade the whole Venus planet.

Somehow it all differs on a man's principles, beliefs, and preferences.

It's sad how society has accepted that men can get away with sleeping with other women just because they are men. And when they get caught and busted, they can always say that they dont mean to cheat, and it's that little head who did it..

Embracing Gothic and Nouveu

I'm so inspired.. and salivating at the finely crafted accessories Im seeing online (I can practically feel my heatbeat and pulse)!

For some reason Im loving the romantic gothic look, and I can now freely say, Im really into laces and silks, and satins.

The whimsical nouveu is also a glam!

I want to go now, and head to Quiapo or Divisoria and buy all the goods and beads, and charms, and strings, laces, and materials I can see there and start my own accessories collection. I feel like Im falling inlove.. and totally inloved, and just plain passionate!

But seriously, making glamorous and fab accessories is something I want to do again (I remember I used to string colored beads when I was in grade school), and I might as well take advantage of my location and accessibility to the beads haven in Manila.
Besides, buying and shopping online is really a pain in my wallet. I should just save the money to buy other more important things (like lipglosses maybe?). And in reality, everyone has the chance to be a romantic bead lady..

Nostalgically Funny: On Being What People Call Jologs

It's funny how people would tagged you Jologs, and baduy, simply because you know that Anna Luna was portrayed by this girl named, Margarita Fuentes, and that you remember the sitcom Hapi House which starred Tito Sen, Helen Gamboa, Chuckie Dreyfus and Isabel Granada, and that with horror you remember the details of the Shake, Rattle and Roll episode in which Manilyn Reynes was invited by Anna Roces in a province feast - and yes, the tricycle driver then was Richard Gomez..

For a couple of days, we are having a hilarious trivial conversations with colleagues about the same topic, and I was even surprised to know that there is actually a Megajologs quiz available online, gracing every netizen's mailbox (and happens to miss mine). Everything we ask each other are recallections of childhood memories, just like a battle of most trivial questions and facts which have been part of the Filipino lives.

I would say the ones who cant relate or recall such things (Regal movies, TV shows, commercials, jingles, Shaider, Chicka Chika Chix, etc..) are somehow the "jologs" people in reality. I mean, watching TV is the only means of entertainment back then when there aren't any gaming consoles, internet, Youtube, Ipod, HD-DVD's.. etc, so I wonder, what do these people do when we were actually enjoying these wonderful things which are now part of the Pinoy culture? (even more enjoying these kinds of conversations). I hate to think they dont have TV's when they were younger.. and just defend their innocense and ignorance by calling people who can relate to such conversations as Jologs..

And I dont care if they call me the ultimate jolog/s (i dont even know it's real definition) just because I know the answers to their most trivial questions. Maybe it just proves at a young age, I am that observant and curious and attentive to details. Or simply I enjoy the Regal movies, the tv shoes, the jingles and the commercials that somehow they stay in my memory. Or that I just had a good childhood enjoying Tito, Vic and Joey movies with the people I love, and that thinking about the good old days makes me feel nostalgic, that I wish we were all together now.

A great way to exercise the brains and be nostalgic in a way.. Just the same, Im more than happy to know that Im not part yet of Memory Loss statistics.

I, Me and Myself

We had this team building activity last Friday and we were asked to write our names on a sheet of paper, and columns Continue Doing, and Start Doing.. and these papers would be passed around, allowing team members to write on each column, to voice out their feelings and perceptions about you.

I just realized that most of my team members dont know me at all. The usual Continue about being funny, skinny, sexy, smart..

I received alot of starting eating alot.. and gaining weight and all, which I find really ridiculous! It just proves that most of my team members dont know me at all, and practically wrote eating more and gaining weight, just by judging my built. Do these people actually seen me eat?

And talk about being less mean.. I would say Im just voicing out my opinions, and if just because they always hear me talk and talk, and just practically being silly, I hope people hear the quiet huddles happening at the corners, topics and talks-bashing other people. And then, maybe they would have another definition on the word Mean.

Just the same, I am happy being me.

PlazaWine: Haven for Wine Lovers

Are you a wine expert? One with an adventurous palate and enjoy dining with that expensive bottle on table? Or simply someone looking for something perfect and unique as a gift?

Plazawine is a great stop and a haven for wine experts and enthusiasts.

Opening the site is like stepping into a vineyard, with its classic combination of purple and green, mirroring its collection of fine wines: Red Wines, White Wines, Champagne & Sparkling Wines, Rosé Wines, Regional Wines, Dessert & Ports, Kosher & Organic Wines, and Liquors & Spirits. This online store is not just a store but work as an online book and guide for the new wine converts. Clicking each category would load you more information about the certain wine type, and suggested selected wines complete with description, year (yes, wines are mostly classified by regions and years), and price (those on a budget can sort the collection by price).

And for those who are health-conscious, but still want to enjoy the sniff -swirl- and- taste- experience wine offers, there's an Organic Wine selection which is a real bestseller collection on this site.

What's so special about this site is that it also offers merchandise and products which comliments the star of every occassion, wines. For those who are weak at wine and alcohol, there's a variety of chocolates, truffles and dried apricots to choose from.

More than serving the best chilled wine, presentation should be considered as well. Wine glasses, coasters, trivets, wine markets, and baskets are also available in Plazawine. Ive actually seen some interesting items which would make a perfect gift for wine collectors.. They practically have the best and most rare wines, and precious bottles, so why not give them like a wine label holder, wine filter and journal? These unique pieces are available in the Wine Accessories area of this site.

I actually want to order this classic, and regal tile trivet!

These wine tags are lovely, cosmopolitan and chic!

The bomb is that this site offers personalized gifts for wine lovers. The personalized offering is an answered prayer for those who are thinking of perfect gift for their friend, boss, father-in-law, or even as a giveaway gifts for special occassions. Get your picture on the wine label, or have your romantic message printed.

The site is uncluttered and organized, with it's "breadcrumbs" helping you with your navigation, and making sure youre not lost within the site. There's even a search button which would send you straight to the product you are looking for.

Apparently, the site is not yet offerring credit card payments, or Paypal, but better be confident that the site is secured. And with it's promising offerings and services, I'm pretty sure settling of purchases would be too easy, and worldwide delivery would be possible. Shipping options and preferences offering is just impressive, giving its clients flexibility and more choices.

Better check out The Connoisseur at Plazawine, and know the truth.. simply, in vino veritas!

Customer Service or Customer No Service?

Was it just me, or just the customer in me?

I always expect every service I avail to be of the same level as what I offer to our customers. It's just sad that some customer service employees never realize the value of customers in their lives. Customers are the reasons they can pay their bills, buy the latest gadgets, wear the hottest trends, and indulge in just everything they fancy.

It's true that people tell about their bad customer service experiences to 10 of their friends, but with advancement of technology.. there's the whole world to listen.

It's safe to say, the golden rule should be applied to customer service.

Sebastian Trucco: Powder Lip Gloss

I love make ups, and I love palettes!

Next to face powder, lipglosses is my second favorite item in my kikay kit.

My latest purchase is a bomb! This palette is actually a powder lipgloss. Yes, same consistency as of eye shadows, and blushes, and face powder in 4 different shades. Does anyone know the powder trick for long lasting wearing lipstick? Add powder on top of the lipstick, and re-apply. But this item challenges the old trick, because it is a powder itself, and it's simply long wearing. The texture is just smooth, and velvety, and easy to apply.

There's a Shine Overlay for those who want glossy lips, or just wear it matte. Pucker up!

Just fab!

Get Me There.. and Some Lessons

Just want to share some lessons Ive learned for the past two or three weeks..

1. It's not easy to maintain a blog.

2. Learning is fun, and good, and beneficial. But learning new things , and practically testing your knowledge through a 15-item exam everyday is not healthy at all.

3. Don't even think about Long Exams.

4. Getting 100% and a perfect score is good. But the best feeling is failing to get the perfect score with one mistake, and knowing you got that rating without the help of others.

5. Just trust yourself, and dont listen to others. Especially during exams.

6. Disappointed carries more weight than anger.

7. I just realized I hate long distance relationships.

8. "squash seeds" make a good substitute for coffee.

9. After work, it's always better to go straight home after a few sticks and chat with friends.

10. I miss playing video games! And people like me who grew up with family computer controller in hand wont just "grow up".

11. There would come a time when you would hate your friends for who they are.

12. But it's always nice to have friends, and new friends.

13. One packed lunch equals 6 dishes, if you have lunchmates!

14. I will always hate commuting in our area.

Which reminds me..
