Playboy Philippine Edition.. Printing in Progress..

It's true, and it's happening.. the world is getting wilder and wilder.

Playboy Philippine Edition would be soon out in the market. But guys dont be too excited just yet - the magazine would not feature and show any nudity, and private parts, (which is the magazine is known for).

Of course Catholic Church and Filipino morality wouldnt allow such.

Although I heard the magazine promises quality content, and features, and yeah, pictures. Im sure a lot of Filipino women would want to be in the centerfold!

Now this would give FHM, Maxim and Uno Mag a new neighbor in the magazine racks..

.. and new bulk to add under every guy's bed.

I'll sure get a copy of the first issue.. This might bring me fortune in the next 20 years! ;)

Scene Stealer!

Filipinos are so hospitable and flexible, that we practically adapted every country's traditions and rituals.. There's halloween costume parties, trick or treat thing, Feng Shui beliefs during the Chinese New Year, Turkey on Thanksgiving day.. and here comes Easter Egg Hunts..

This day is a little special for us, and my family. It's a special occassion.. and as much as I want to talk about it here, I may as well not. The bottom line is, I am forgiven and blessed.

Occassions call for new clothes. I remember when I was a kid, Thanksgivings and Mid Year Thanksgivings, or just any known occassion (Recognition Day counts!) we always had new clothes and shoes, and bags to complete the ensemble. Parents wouldn't allow their kids to be left out. But now that I am older, and I am practically shopping for new clothes every week, I decided not to stress myself over what to wear for the occassion.

I scanned my closet last night and decided on shantung chinese print skirt which was made by my mom, black cowl neck top with full lace at the back, 3-inch high red shoes, and embroidered bag from Dorothy Perkins..

I've decided to wear a new piece of accessory to go with my pearl earrings, a hand-me-down vintage gold pearl ring, and Armitron black watch. The drama focuses on - (drum roll please!) the multiple pendant necklace!

Yes, Ive been wanting one ever since I saw Daphne Osena wearing one. A real scene-stealer!

Im proud to say, this is my creation, the round locket is from my lola, the Mona Lisa portrait I bought from a specialty store, and the G-clef charm I borrowed from one of my bracelets.

I actually want a 5-piece pendant, and the pieces are already on my mind.. I just need to scout for the finest and most unique pieces.

This is just fab, right?

Shopaholic and Baby by Sophie Kinsella

Kinsella never fails to make me laugh! I love her book Shopaholic and Baby as much as her four Shopaholic book series!

Our shopaholic heroine Becky is still a shopaholic! But instead of loading and maxing her credit card (or should I say, Luke's?) with purchases of Manolo Blahniks.. Gucci Bags.. or Angel Bags.. she's out to spend their fortune for the best baby stuff in town!

This is the story of pregnancy paranoia, mommy woes, wife jealousy, a bitch ex-girlfiend and business problems. This book made me more scared about marriage and pregnancy. Although I wish I would be as hot as Becky when I get pregnant! And though I hate to admit it, I somehow look forward to meeting a prince charming such as Luke!

This book is just hilarious! Go, grab it! And shop!!!

I just hope this isnt the last book of Kinsella's Shopaholic series..

Love, Romance, Elegant and Fantasy Bracelet

I love shopping, and I love technology for bringing me into the world of online shopping (and practically letting me be an online seller myself).

Ive bought alot of good stuff online.. from imported lotions, fragrances and other stuff, to unique accessories and bestselling books.

I cant help but brag about one of the most unique pieces Ive ever bought from Gargantilla. The site owner sells funky gothic bracelets, colorful cameos, to the most unique vintage inspired pieces. And what's good is that she only makes one piece per design, assuring buyers that each design is solely theirs!

Yet, accessory customization is also welcome! ;)

Check out this fabulous bracelet I got.

Girly. Vintagey. Classic. Romantic and full of Fantasy.

I love the combination of the pink beads with rustic wire, accented with clay fairy

.. the dragonfly charm, crystal leaf and beads, and old rustic rose charm, golden G-clef design,

.. and the book-like locket with fairy design infront is truly eye-catching! And yes, this one opens!

But my favorite charm piece is this acrylic boarded music piece!

This is a true labor of love, even the wire lock is handcrafted..

Although the material and the whole bracelet is a little weak (which tends me to worry about missing links and charms - I actually almost lost the locket, but a quick nailpolish sealing actually does the trick!)

I intend to add this glamorous and unique piece to complete the whole concept of love, romance and fantasy..

Just fab and elegant!

Bad, Bad Fall..

I feel like I need to redeem myself..

My eyes are still swollen and my nose is somehow still proud red.. My room is a look of disaster.

What's the better way of recovering after a bad fall? A bar of dark chocolate. Chips. food.. food.., and fresh fruits.. and of course, shopping.. And I love Ebay more during these times..

But the best is knowing you are with your family who loves and undestands you the most.. and getting your celphone inbox full with messages from friends.

Ms. World Janina San Miguel Probably Didnt Listen to Her English Teacher..

I was just talking about English in my previous post, and I just can't help but get disappointed with the 2008 BB. Pilipinas pageant result and this is more than being disappointed with the Ms. World Pilipinas winner Janina San Miguel.

I don't want to judge people, and I don't want to laugh either. I just feel sorry about the girl because I guess even if she wouldn't win the crown of Ms. World 2008, she would sure get millions of hits (and I mean views), from youtube.com.

I would just like to think that she just got pretty nervous during the coronation night, and she had totally forgotten her grammar. But that would be forgivable if she was able to come up with some sense in her answer. She even won two major titles for Best in Long Gown, and Best in Swimwear (though I don't personally think she is that sexy or hot, or proportioned..); that would have at least boosted her confidence, but what happened?! To think that the question is just plain simple.. What more if the judge asked her the most popular question for job intervies, "how would you describe color red to a blind person?"

I haven't seen the pageant last night, but thanks to technology!

E-N-G-L-I-S-H!!! Filipino English

We just had our Voice and Accent Midterms last Friday, and until now I still feel tired and restless.. It seems that my two days off is not enough for me to recharge my energy. Not that we did some physical work, but the tension we felt then is just too much to handle, that I now consider doing yoga. The exam reminds me of an American Idol set up, when one passed, she or he screamed "Im going to Hollywood!" and yes, I too is going to Hollywood!

Although Im not really happy with my grades, because I know I could have done better. If I should only relax, and combat intimidation.

We practically studied Global English, and the sounds of English vowels. We were told again and again, that practice makes perfect. Yes, that's true. And who cares what other people think of you? Talk with finesse. Non-contact center workers might find you "maarte" and "pasosyal" but the irony is, they somehow look up to those people because they can think and talk in good English.

What I want to know now is how come some words have different pronounciations, and some are now even acceptable? Just because British people talk in a certain way, now their English pronounciation are acceptable? I just hope in the near future, our own Filipino English and pronounciation would be acceptable globally soon. Okay, Im not talking about English carabaos or Asshumpshionista English. But the way how educated and professional people enunciate the words. We are not that bad. Really. Admit it that vowel sounds are a little confusing at times. Besides, most of the contact centers are based here in Manila, and maybe more than us learning how Americans speak, they should be the one to learn and understand how we talk English.. ;) Now, isnt it wonderful?
